CLASSICAL VIETNAM (HA NOI – HA LONG – HUE – DA NANG – HOI AN – HO CHI MINH)

DAY 1: ARRIVE HA NOI

On arrival to Ha Noi, you are met and transferred to hotel. Ha Noi is the capital city which retains some of Asia’s most striking colonial architecture and it also has many lakes and parks with a relaxing atmosphere. After a short rest, we enjoy a short cyclo excursion through the bustling old quarter streets of Ha Noi.

DAY 2: HA NOI

Today we enjoy a full day city tour with visits to Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum and his house on stilts, the former President Palace, One Pillar pagoda, Tran Quoc pagoda (the most beautiful pagoda in Ha Noi), Quan Thanh temple. We follow this to with a trip to the temple of Literature (the first university in Vietnam founded in 1070) museum of Ethnology (where you can find out many interesting things about the life and culture of Vietnam’s people), the peaceful lake of Hoan Kiem and the Silk street. You enjoy the unique water puppet show in the evening.

DAY 3: HA NOI – HA LONG

This morning we depart for Ha Long through scenic countryside. The exciting six hour cruise will provide us a fantastic view of the Bay of some 3,000 limestone islands rising amazingly from the clear and emerald water. Along the way we will visit many hidden grottoes beneath towering cliffs.

DAY 4: HA LONG – HAI PHONG – HA NOI

Today we transfer to Hai Phong which has been a significant port city for several centuries and one of Vietnam’s principle trading centres. After visiting Hang Kenh temple and Du Hang pagoda, we transfer back to Ha Noi.

Overnight in Ha Noi.

DAY 5 : HA NOI – HUE

You take a flight to Hue, one of Vietnam’s World Cultural Heritages. On arrival, you are met and transferred to hotel. You will visit the Imperial Palace to learn about the last feudal dynasty of Vietnam, enjoy the royal folklore show and take a walk to Dongba market.

DAY 6: HUE – HOI AN

This morning we embark on a boat for cruise upstream the Perfume River which also gives us a taste of the scenic countryside. We visit the beautiful pagoda of Thien Mu, the elaborate royal tomb of Emperor Tu Duc and the tranquil setting of Emperor Minh Mang’s tomb. We continue to depart to Hoi An, an ancient town with a fascinating influence of Chinese and Japanese architecture combination.

DAY 7: HOI AN

We take a walking tour along Hoian’s narrow but peaceful streets to visit the Fujian Congregration Hall, the 400 year old Japanese covered bridge, 200 year old Tam Ky house. We embark on a boat to cruise on Thu Bon River to visit pottery and boat making villages.

Pm:  Visit to the Cham’s ruin of My Son.

Overnight in Hoi An.

DAY 8: HOI AN – DA NANG – HO CHI MINH

To day we depart to Danang to visit the famous Non Nuoc stone-carving village and the Marble Moutains, then we visit Cham museum to explore the ancient Cham’s culture through many fine displayed sculptures. You take a flight to Ho Chi Minh city. You are met and transferred for a short sight-seeing in Ho Chi Minh before checking in hotel.

DAY 9: HO CHI MINH

The morning city tour in this young and bustling city takes you to the Reunification Hall (former President Palace), Ben Thanh market, Post Office, Notre Dame Cathedral, Vinh Nghiem pagoda, China town and historical museum.

Pm:  Visit Cu chi tunnel

Overnight in Hochiminh.

DAY 10: HO CHI MINH – DEPARTURE

There is a free time to relax or further explore Ho Chi Minh. Your trip ends after your transfer to Tan Son Nhat airport for departure.
